DO YOU HAVE REASON TO BE THANKFUL?

The second event that was related to me, is this :

A colleague of mine was waiting in her car to fetch her daughter at her daughter's school.

She had her window down for some fresh air, and saw two homeless people, a male and a female, approaching. The male was carrying a small plastic chair which one of them had obviously picked up somewhere.

As they approached, she could hear the male say to his friend:

"Last night I asked the Lord to be good to us today and to provide for us, just like He does every other day."

WOW!!

They have nothing... no home, no car, no employment, no roof over their heads, no bedding, no proper clothing, etc. etc. etc. - yet, he knows to acknowledge and be thankful that God provides their every need every day!

This story silenced me... how often do we grumble with the proverbial loaves of white bread under the arm ... plus a home, plus a car, plus a job, plus, plus, plus....

                      16 Rejoice always,k 17 pray continually,l 18 give thanks in all
circumstances;m for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
                       1 Thess. 5: 16-18

Thank You, for every single blessing from Your hand, every single moment of every day, Lord God. Open our eyes to recognize each blessing and to see and respond to the needs of others for Your name's sake.
